more than just a trip...

Evidence-based therapy programs that combine professional mental health support with transformative outdoor experiences. Find clarity, build resilience, and reconnect with yourself.

Our Mission

At Adventure Therapy, our mission is to ignite the spirit of adventure within everyone. We believe that the great outdoors is the ultimate playground, where nature's beauty and adrenaline come together to create unforgettable experiences. Our carefully curated adventures foster camaraderie and exploration, bringing together like-minded adventurers to share moments that will be cherished for a lifetime.

We curate worry-free adventures that blend outdoor exploration, physical activity, holistic wellness practices, and guided conversations—creating space for healing, growth, and belonging. By combining nature's proven impact on mental health with the strength of human connection, we empower veterans, couples, and those in recovery to build healthier lives, cultivate resilience, and rediscover joy.

Our purpose is simple yet profound: to turn struggle into strength, and to help every participant return home not just with memories of adventure, but with tools for lasting well-being.

THE WHY

The statistics are alarming and it's no secret that the mental and physical health of Americans has been on a declining trend for far too long. While we are just now starting to see politicians and government officials take notice, the amount of work required to reverse the trends is daunting.

Throughout our years of healing, growth and sobriety - we've found a set of experiences to be immeasurably powerful for our wellbeing. And we have decided to make it our life's work to share these tools with others like us - people who crave connection, inspiration, better physical and mental health, and an adventure of a lifetime.

RECOVERY

Nature and adventure play a crucial role in helping recovering addicts by providing a healing environment. Relationship Enhancement

COUPLES

Adventure is great for couples because it strengthens their bond through shared experiences, excitement, and teamwork. Trying new activities together—whether hiking, traveling, or skydiving—creates lasting memories, deepens trust, and reignites passion. Stepping out of the comfort zone fosters communication and connection, helping couples grow both individually and as a team. Plus, the thrill of adventure boosts happiness, making relationships more vibrant and fulfilling.

Qualifying Applicants Must:

  • Be married or in a long-term committed relationship
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Not have any convictions or pending convictions that are violent in nature

Women Who Have Survived Domestic Violence

SURVIVORS

Nature and adventure can be powerful tools for healing after trauma. For women who have survived domestic violence, stepping into the restorative space of nature can help rebuild confidence, strength, and a sense of personal freedom. Through supportive group experiences and empowering outdoor challenges like hiking, kayaking, and biking, participants reconnect with their inner resilience while forming meaningful bonds with other women on similar paths toward healing and renewal.

Qualifying Applicants Must

  • Be a woman who has survived domestic violence or an abusive relationship
  • Be currently in a safe and stable living situation
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be willing to participate in a supportive group environment focused on healing and growth
  • Provide references and/or support documentation if requested
  • Not have any convictions or pending convictions that are violent in nature
